If you are looking for information about famous persons, you may look within the history books (as above) or you may consult  BIOGRAPHICAL sources, as follows:

1.  For an individual biography on your person, search Destiny Online Catalog with your person's name.

2.  To browse our collective biography books, go to the REF 920s and use indexes to find information on your person.

We have two very good subscriptions that feature American History - American Heritage Magazine and American History (Illustrated). Please ask at the Reference Desk and we can show you how to use the index.
